How to take Tenofed Capsule

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Tenofed 50 mg/20 mg Capsule is to be taken on an empty stomach.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Tenofed 50 mg/20 mg Capsule, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Tenofed than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

You have been prescribed Tenofed 50 mg/20 mg Capsule for the treatment of high blood pressure. Lowering blood pressure reduces chance of future heart attack & strokes. It may cause dizziness. Get up slowly when rising from a sitting or lying position. Do not stop taking the medication suddenly without talking to your doctor as it can cause sudden increase in your blood pressure.
