Composition of Thyroup 25

Thyroup 25 contains Thyroxine (25mcg). It belongs to the Thyroid hormone (synthetic T4) class of medicines.

Uses of Thyroup 25

  • Treatment of hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid)
  • thyroid hormone replacement after thyroidectomy or radioactive iodine therapy
  • management of goitre due to thyroid hormone deficiency

Key benefits

  • Improves energy and reduces fatigue
  • Helps normalize metabolism and weight control in hypothyroidism
  • Reduces symptoms like cold intolerance and constipation
  • Helps normalize TSH and supports thyroid-related growth and development

How Thyroup 25 works

Levothyroxine is a synthetic form of thyroxine (T4), a natural thyroid hormone. It is converted to triiodothyronine (T3) in the body and restores normal thyroid hormone levels, helping regulate metabolism, energy and growth.

How to take Thyroup 25

Tablet for oral use. Take once daily on an empty stomach, preferably in the morning 30–60 minutes before breakfast, with water. Take at the same time each day; avoid taking with calcium/iron/antacids—keep a 4-hour gap. Dose is individualized based on TSH and clinical response; do not stop abruptly without medical advice.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Thyroup 25 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
