How to take Tuspress Syrup
Oral syrup. Shake well before use. Measure dose with a measuring cup/spoon and take as advised by the doctor; may be taken with or without food. Do not exceed the recommended dose; avoid use in children unless prescribed.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
Missed dose and overdose
If you miss a dose
If you miss a dose of Tuspress Syrup, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
If you take too much
An overdose of this medicine can cause severe drowsiness, a fast heartbeat, confusion and, in children, agitation and fits. It can cause vomiting, severe drowsiness, a racing heart and, with codeine, dangerously slow breathing. It is unlikely from skin use, but swallowing these preparations can be serious, particularly in children. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.

Do not take Tuspress if
Not for anyone with a known allergy to this medicine or to any ingredient in the pack. The sedating antihistamines are not suitable for very young children, or for people with glaucoma or an enlarged prostate, without medical advice. Codeine-containing preparations are not for children, or for anyone with breathing difficulty. Not for use on broken, infected or badly inflamed skin.

Alcohol and other CNS depressants (sedatives, opioids, benzodiazepines) may increase drowsiness/respiratory depression; MAO inhibitors and some antidepressants may interact with certain cough suppressants; consult doctor before combining with other cold/cough medicines to avoid duplication.
