Composition of Viboliv Tablet

Viboliv Tablet contains Metadoxine (500mg). It belongs to the Beta-blocker (selective beta-1 blocker with vasodilatory properties) class of medicines.

How Viboliv Tablet works

Nebivolol is a cardioselective beta-1 blocker that reduces heart rate and the force of contraction, lowering blood pressure. It also promotes nitric oxide–mediated vasodilation, improving blood flow and further reducing vascular resistance.

How to take Viboliv Tablet

Take orally as prescribed, usually once daily at the same time each day, with or without food. Swallow whole with water. Do not stop suddenly without medical advice.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Viboliv Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

An overdose of this medicine may cause loose motions and stomach upset. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.

Side effects of Viboliv Tablet

Most side effects of Viboliv are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

• Headache
• dizziness
• fatigue
• slow heart rate (bradycardia)
• low blood pressure
• nausea
• diarrhoea
• constipation
• cold hands/feet
• sleep disturbances

Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Warnings and precautions

Do not stop abruptly (may worsen angina or cause rebound hypertension). Use with caution in asthma/COPD, diabetes (may mask hypoglycaemia symptoms), thyroid disorders, peripheral vascular disease, severe liver/kidney impairment, and in the elderly. Contraindicated in severe bradycardia, cardiogenic shock, severe hypotension, certain heart block/SA node disorders unless paced, and acute decompensated heart failure. Monitor BP and pulse regularly.

Not for anyone with a known allergy to this medicine or to any ingredient in the pack.

Interactions with other medicines

Other antihypertensives (additive hypotension),calcium channel blockers like verapamil/diltiazem (bradycardia/heart block),digoxin (bradycardia),antiarrhythmics like amiodarone (conduction issues),clonidine (rebound hypertension on withdrawal),NSAIDs (may reduce antihypertensive effect),CYP2D6 inhibitors like fluoxetine/paroxetine/quinidine (increase nebivolol levels),insulin/oral antidiabetics (masked hypoglycaemia),anaesthetic agents (enhanced hypotension)

How to store Viboliv Tablet

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place. Protect from moisture and light. Keep out of reach of children.

Expert advice for Viboliv Tablet

It protects the liver cells from toxins and helps the liver to perform its normal functions. Take it as per the dose and duration suggested by your doctor. Diarrhea may occur as a side effect. Drink plenty of fluids and inform your doctor if diarrhea persists or if you find blood in your stools. Consult with your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding.
