Voglow-GM1 Tablet contains Glimepiride (1mg) + Metformin (500mg) + Voglibose (0.3mg).
Treatment of Type 2 diabetes mellitus
Voglow 0.3 GM1 Tablet is a combination of three antidiabetic medicines: glimepiride, metformin, and voglibose. They work by different mechanisms to provide better control of blood sugar when single or dual therapy is not effective. Glimepiride is a sulfonylurea that works by increasing the amount of insulin released by the pancreas to lower the blood glucose. Metformin is a biguanide that lowers glucose production in the liver, delays glucose absorption from the intestines, and increases the body's sensitivity to insulin. Voglibose is an alpha-glucosidase inhibitor that prevents the breakdown of complex sugars into simple sugars such as glucose. This prevents the blood glucose levels from rising to very high levels after meals.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Voglow 0.3 GM1 Tablet is to be taken on an empty stomach.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
If you miss a dose of Voglow 0.3 GM1 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
Taking more Voglow-GM1 than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
Most side effects of Voglow-GM1 are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:
Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Tell your doctor or pharmacist about every medicine you take, including over-the-counter products, vitamins and herbal or ayurvedic preparations, before starting Voglow-GM1. Some combinations can change how Voglow-GM1 works or raise the chance of side effects.
Store Voglow-GM1 below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the pack tightly closed and out of the reach of children. Do not use it after the expiry date printed on the pack.
Voglow 0.3 GM1 Tablet can cause hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level) when used with other antidiabetic medicines or alcohol, or if you delay or miss a meal. Carry a sugar source with you for immediate relief. Your doctor may check your liver function regularly. Inform your doctor if you develop symptoms such as abdominal pain, loss of appetite, or yellowing of the eyes or skin (jaundice). Individuals with severe renal or hepatic impairment should not take Voglow 0.3 GM1 Tablet. This medicine works best when used along with proper diet and exercise.
