Voglibose (0.2mg)
Type 2 diabetes mellitus (as an add-on to diet and exercise), especially for control of post-meal (postprandial) blood glucose; may be used alone or with other antidiabetic medicines as prescribed.
Voglibose is an alpha-glucosidase inhibitor that slows the breakdown and absorption of carbohydrates in the intestine. This reduces the rise in blood glucose after meals and helps improve overall glycaemic control.
Oral tablet. Typically taken just before meals or with the first bite of food, as prescribed by the doctor. Do not skip meals after taking; follow diet and exercise advice and monitor blood glucose regularly.
Common side effects of Volboz 0.2 MG Tab may include:
Use with caution in patients with inflammatory bowel disease, intestinal obstruction, chronic intestinal disorders, or severe digestive problems. Not recommended in diabetic ketoacidosis. Monitor liver enzymes if advised; rare liver function abnormalities can occur. If hypoglycaemia occurs when used with insulin/sulfonylureas, treat with glucose (dextrose) rather than sucrose/table sugar. Consult doctor in elderly and in renal/hepatic impairment.

A substitute contains the same active ingredient (salt), in the same strength, as Volboz 0.2 MG Tab. The medicine inside is the same — the brand name, manufacturer and price are what differ.
All medicines sold in India, branded or generic, must meet the quality standards set by the national drug regulator (CDSCO). A lower price does not mean lower quality.
Please confirm with your doctor or pharmacist before switching brands — they will check that the strength and form match your prescription.
