Uses of Walmet 850 Tab

Type 2 diabetes mellitus (to improve blood glucose control), especially in overweight patients; may be used alone or with other antidiabetic medicines as advised by a doctor.

How it works

Metformin decreases glucose production by the liver and reduces intestinal absorption of glucose. It also improves insulin sensitivity in muscles and fat, helping the body use insulin more effectively and lowering blood sugar levels.

Directions for use

Tablet (oral). Take exactly as prescribed, usually with or after meals to reduce stomach upset. Swallow whole with water; do not crush/chew unless advised. Dose is individualized; regular blood sugar monitoring is recommended.
