Benzoyl Peroxide 2.5% w/w + Nadifloxacin 1% w/w (topical gel)
Zinderm Bn Gel is used for treatment of acne vulgaris (pimples), especially inflammatory acne with bacterial involvement; helps reduce comedones and acne-associated redness and swelling.
Medically reviewed by Dr. Balaji Krishnan, MBBS · Updated August 2026
Zinderm Bn Gel contains Benzoyl Peroxide 2.5% w/w + Nadifloxacin 1% w/w (topical gel). It belongs to the Topical antibiotic (fluoroquinolone) + Keratolytic/antibacterial (benzoyl peroxide) class of medicines.
Nadifloxacin is a topical fluoroquinolone antibiotic that inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase/topoisomerase IV, reducing acne-causing bacteria and inflammation. Benzoyl peroxide releases active oxygen and has antibacterial and keratolytic effects, helping unclog pores and reduce new lesion formation.
For external use only. Clean and dry the affected area, then apply a thin layer to acne-affected skin once daily or as directed by a doctor; may be increased to twice daily if tolerated. Avoid eyes, lips, inside nose and broken/irritated skin; wash hands after application and use moisturizer/sunscreen if dryness occurs.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
Take the missed dose of Zinderm Bn as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.
Taking more Zinderm Bn than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
Most side effects of Zinderm Bn are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:
Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

External use only. May cause skin irritation; start with once-daily use and reduce frequency if excessive dryness/redness occurs. Avoid contact with eyes/mucosa; rinse with water if contact occurs. Benzoyl peroxide may bleach hair/fabrics. Use sunscreen and limit sun/UV exposure. Stop and seek medical advice if severe irritation, swelling or allergic reaction occurs. Use in children, pregnancy or breastfeeding only on medical advice; avoid applying on large areas or near nipple during breastfeeding.
Avoid using simultaneously on same area with other topical irritants/keratolytics (retinoids like tretinoin/adapalene, salicylic acid, sulfur/resorcinol, astringents/alcohol-based products) unless advised; may increase irritation. If using topical retinoid, consider alternate timing (e.g., retinoid at night and this in morning) as directed.
Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from direct light and heat. Keep cap tightly closed. Keep out of reach of children.
