Zuvilix 200 mg Tablet is used for relief of pain and inflammation in osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis; acute pain including dental/post-operative pain; primary dysmenorrhea (period pain).

Zuvilix 200 mg Tablet contains Elagolix (200mg). It belongs to the NSAID (Selective COX-2 inhibitor) class of medicines.
Celecoxib is a selective COX-2 inhibitor NSAID. It reduces formation of prostaglandins responsible for pain, swelling and inflammation, with relatively less effect on gastric COX-1 compared to non-selective NSAIDs.
Take as directed by your doctor. Swallow tablet with water, preferably with food to reduce stomach upset. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration; do not exceed prescribed dose.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
If you miss a dose of Zuvilix 200 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
Taking more Zuvilix than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
Most side effects of Zuvilix are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:
Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Not recommended in patients with allergy to celecoxib/sulfonamides or history of asthma/urticaria with aspirin/NSAIDs. Avoid in active peptic ulcer/bleeding; use caution in elderly. May increase risk of serious cardiovascular events (heart attack/stroke), especially with long-term use or high dose; avoid in established heart disease unless advised. Use caution in kidney or liver disease, dehydration, hypertension, heart failure. Stop and seek care for black stools, vomiting blood, chest pain, shortness of breath, severe rash/skin peeling.
Anticoagulants (warfarin), antiplatelets (aspirin, clopidogrel), other NSAIDs, corticosteroids, SSRIs/SNRIs, ACE inhibitors/ARBs, diuretics, lithium, methotrexate, cyclosporine/tacrolimus, fluconazole (may increase celecoxib levels), rifampicin (may reduce levels)
Store below 25°C in a dry place, protected from moisture and light. Keep out of reach of children.
You may experience mood changes, depression, or suicidal thoughts. If you notice any unusual emotional shifts, seek a doctor's help immediately. Zuvilix 200 Tablet may cause bone loss that might not fully reverse, so follow the recommended treatment duration to reduce this risk. Some drugs, including hormonal contraceptives and liver enzyme inhibitors, may affect how Zuvilix 200 Tablet works. Inform your doctor about all medications you take. Your healthcare provider will give you a pregnancy test before you start taking Zuvilix 200 Tablet.
