Potassium Clavulanate (125mg) + Cefpodoxime (200mg)
Treatment of susceptible bacterial infections such as community-acquired pneumonia, acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, acute bacterial sinusitis, tonsillitis/pharyngitis, otitis media, skin and soft tissue infections, and uncomplicated urinary tract infections
Cefpodoxime is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to bacterial death. Clavulanic acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that protects cefpodoxime from enzymatic breakdown by resistant bacteria, improving coverage.
Oral tablet; take exactly as prescribed. Usually taken with food to improve absorption and reduce stomach upset; swallow whole with water. Complete the full course even if you feel better.

Do not use if allergic to cephalosporins, penicillins, or other beta-lactam antibiotics. Use with caution in kidney impairment (dose adjustment may be needed), history of colitis/antibiotic-associated diarrhoea, and liver disease. Seek medical help for severe diarrhoea, allergic reactions (rash, swelling, breathing difficulty), or jaundice. Not for viral infections; unnecessary use may reduce effectiveness.
