Calcimax D 1000 Tablet contains Calcium carbonate 2500 mg (equivalent to elemental Calcium 1000 mg) + Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol) 250 IU. It belongs to the Mineral supplement (Calcium salt) + Vitamin D analogue class of medicines.

How Calcimax D 1000 Tablet works

Calcium provides the elemental calcium required for bone mineralization and normal neuromuscular function. Vitamin D3 increases intestinal absorption of calcium and phosphate and helps maintain normal calcium levels, supporting stronger bones.

How to take Calcimax D 1000 Tablet

Oral tablet. Usually 1 tablet daily or as directed by the physician; preferably after food. Swallow with water; do not exceed recommended dose unless prescribed.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Take it as soon as you remember. If your next dose is almost due, skip the one you missed — never take two doses together to catch up.

If you take too much

An overdose of this medicine can raise blood calcium dangerously, causing thirst, frequent urination, vomiting, confusion and kidney damage. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.

Most side effects of Calcimax D are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

Warnings and precautions

Use with caution in patients with kidney disease, history of kidney stones, hypercalcemia, hyperparathyroidism, sarcoidosis or malabsorption. Do not take Calcimax D if

Not for anyone with a known allergy to this medicine or to any ingredient in the pack. Not for people with a high blood calcium level, or with certain kidney stones.

Interactions with other medicines

Tetracyclines, quinolones (e.g., ciprofloxacin/levofloxacin), bisphosphonates, levothyroxine, iron salts—separate administration by 2–4 hours; thiazide diuretics (may increase calcium levels); corticosteroids (reduce calcium absorption); digoxin (risk of arrhythmia with hypercalcemia)

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place. Protect from moisture and direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
