How Calzinc Tablet works

Calcium is an essential mineral required for bone and teeth mineralization and normal muscle and nerve function. Zinc supports immune function, wound healing and enzyme activity; supplementation helps correct dietary deficiencies.

How to take Calzinc Tablet

Take by mouth as advised by a doctor, usually once daily after food. Swallow the tablet with water; do not exceed recommended dose. Keep a 2–4 hour gap from iron, thyroid medicines or certain antibiotics if advised.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Take the missed dose of Calzinc as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Calzinc than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Side effects of Calzinc Tablet

Most side effects of Calzinc are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

• nausea
• stomach upset
• constipation
• bloating
• metallic taste
• diarrhea

Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Warnings and precautions

Use with caution in kidney disease, history of kidney stones, hypercalcemia, hyperparathyroidism or vitamin D toxicity. Excess intake may cause hypercalcemia or zinc-related nausea and can reduce absorption of other minerals (iron/copper). Seek medical advice if pregnant/breastfeeding or if taking multiple supplements.

Interactions with other medicines

tetracyclines (e.g., doxycycline), quinolones (e.g., ciprofloxacin/levofloxacin), levothyroxine, bisphosphonates (e.g., alendronate), iron supplements, penicillamine, thiazide diuretics

How to store Calzinc Tablet

Store at room temperature (below 25°C), protected from moisture and direct light. Keep tightly closed and out of reach of children.
