Ramipril 10 mg
Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure); reduction of risk of heart attack, stroke and cardiovascular death in high-risk patients; management of heart failure; post–myocardial infarction (heart attack) with signs of heart failure; kidney protection in certain patients with diabetes/proteinuria (as prescribed).
Ramipril is an ACE inhibitor that blocks conversion of angiotensin I to angiotensin II, leading to relaxation of blood vessels and reduced blood pressure. It also lowers aldosterone, reducing salt and water retention and decreasing workload on the heart.
Tablet for oral use. Take exactly as prescribed, usually once daily at the same time each day, with or without food. Swallow with water; do not stop suddenly without medical advice.

Do not use in pregnancy; stop and seek medical help if swelling of face/lips/tongue (angioedema) occurs. Use with caution in kidney disease, liver disease, dehydration/diuretic use, low blood pressure, heart valve disease, and in the elderly. Monitor blood pressure, kidney function and potassium especially after starting or dose changes. Avoid potassium supplements/salt substitutes unless advised.
