Cartigen DN Tablet is used in the treatment of osteoarthritis.
Cartigen DN Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Glucosamine, Diacerein and Methyl Sulfonyl Methane, which treats osteoarthritis. Glucosamine and Diacerein are proteoglycan synthesis stimulators while Methyl Sulfonyl Methane (MSM) is a nutritional supplement. Together, they help in the building of cartilage (the soft tissue around the joints) leading to joint repair. MSM additionally lowers inflammation (swelling) of the joints.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Cartigen DN Tablet is to be taken with food.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
Take the missed dose of Cartigen Dn as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.
Taking more Cartigen Dn than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
Most side effects of Cartigen Dn are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:
Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Store at room temperature (below 25°C), protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
Cartigen DN Tablet helps in relieving symptoms of osteoarthritis. It may take several weeks to see treatment benefits. Keep taking the medicine as prescribed by your doctor. Side effects such as Nausea, Diarrhoea, abdominal pain, and indigestion may occur with Cartigen DN Tablet . These may not be with everyone. Any of the side effects other than those mentioned above if occur, do consult the treating physician. Let your doctor know if your symptoms do not improve even after two to three months of taking the medication.
