Carvistar 3.125 is used for carvistar 3.125 Tablet is used in the treatment of high blood pressure, heart failure and chest pain (angina).

Carvistar 3.125 contains Carvedilol (3.125mg).
Carvistar 3.125 Tablet is an alpha and beta blocker. It works by slowing down the heart rate and relaxing blood vessels which makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood around the body.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Carvistar 3.125 Tablet is to be taken with food.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
Take the missed dose of Carvistar as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.
Taking more Carvistar than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
Most side effects of Carvistar are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:
Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.
| Pregnancy | Carvistar 3.125 Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.<br>Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor. |

| Alcohol | Taking Carvedilol with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate. |
| Kidney | Carvistar 3.125 Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Carvistar 3.125 Tablet is recommended.<br>However, inform your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease. Regular monitoring of blood pressure is recommended for dose adjustment. |
| Liver | Carvistar 3.125 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Carvistar 3.125 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.<br>Use of Carvistar 3.125 Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease. |
Tell your doctor or pharmacist about every medicine you take, including over-the-counter products, vitamins and herbal or ayurvedic preparations, before starting Carvistar. Some combinations can change how Carvistar works or raise the chance of side effects.
Store Carvistar below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the pack tightly closed and out of the reach of children. Do not use it after the expiry date printed on the pack.

Do not drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how it affects you.</li> <li>It may cause you to feel lightheaded or weak especially when you stand up (orthostatic hypotension). Rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down.</li> <li>It is best to avoid drinking alcohol while taking Carloc 3.125 Tablet as it may make the side effects worse.</li> <li>Do not stop taking Carloc 3.125 Tablet suddenly as it can cause your blood pressure to rise suddenly, thereby increasing the risk of heart attack and stroke.</li></ul></div></div></div></div></div></div>
