Telmisartan (40mg) + Chlorthalidone (12.5mg)
CTD-T 12.5/40 Tablet is used in the treatment of high blood pressure.
CTD-T 12.5/40 Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Telmisartan and chlorthalidone, which lowers blood pressure effectively. Telmisartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). It works by blocking the hormone angiotensin thereby relaxing blood vessels. This allows the blood to flow more smoothly and the heart to pump more efficiently. Chlorthalidone is a diuretic that removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body. Over time it also relaxes blood vessels and improves blood flow.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. CTD-T 12.5/40 Tablet is to be taken with food.

A substitute contains the same active ingredient (salt), in the same strength, as Ctd-T 12.5/40 Tab. The medicine inside is the same — the brand name, manufacturer and price are what differ.
All medicines sold in India, branded or generic, must meet the quality standards set by the national drug regulator (CDSCO). A lower price does not mean lower quality.
Please confirm with your doctor or pharmacist before switching brands — they will check that the strength and form match your prescription.
