How Diavit Plus Capsule works

Diavit Plus is a multivitamin/multimineral antioxidant supplement. It helps replenish deficient nutrients, supports energy metabolism and nerve function, and may reduce oxidative stress associated with diabetes-related complications.

How to take Diavit Plus Capsule

Capsule for oral use. Take as directed by the physician, usually 1 capsule once daily after food; swallow whole with water. Do not exceed recommended dose.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Take the missed dose of Diavit Plus as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Diavit Plus than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Side effects of Diavit Plus Capsule

Most side effects of Diavit Plus are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Warnings and precautions

Not a substitute for antidiabetic medicines; continue prescribed diabetes treatment and monitor blood glucose. Use with caution in kidney disease, history of kidney stones (if vitamin C), hypervitaminosis, or iron overload (if iron present). Stop and seek medical advice if rash, swelling, or breathing difficulty occurs. Inform doctor if you are on blood thinners or have severe neuropathy symptoms.

Interactions with other medicines

Antidiabetic medicines (may affect glucose control), anticoagulants/antiplatelets such as warfarin (vitamin E may increase bleeding risk), levothyroxine (minerals reduce absorption; separate by 4 hours), tetracycline/quinolone antibiotics (minerals reduce absorption; separate by 2-6 hours), antacids/mineral supplements (additive effects)
