Glimepiride (2mg) + Metformin (500mg) + Voglibose (0.2mg)
Type 2 diabetes mellitus (adult) when blood sugar is not adequately controlled with diet/exercise and single or dual therapy; helps control post‑meal and fasting blood glucose
Metformin reduces glucose production in the liver and improves insulin sensitivity. Glimepiride stimulates the pancreas to release insulin. Voglibose delays carbohydrate absorption in the gut by inhibiting alpha‑glucosidase enzymes, reducing post‑meal glucose spikes.
Oral tablet. Take exactly as prescribed, usually once daily with food (typically with the first main meal); swallow whole if prolonged‑release—do not crush/chew. Follow diet and exercise advice and monitor blood glucose regularly.

A substitute contains the same active ingredient (salt), in the same strength, as Glycomet Trio 2/0.3 Tab. The medicine inside is the same — the brand name, manufacturer and price are what differ.
All medicines sold in India, branded or generic, must meet the quality standards set by the national drug regulator (CDSCO). A lower price does not mean lower quality.
Please confirm with your doctor or pharmacist before switching brands — they will check that the strength and form match your prescription.
Risk of hypoglycaemia (higher with missed meals, excess exercise, alcohol, elderly); lactic acidosis risk with metformin (avoid in severe kidney disease, severe dehydration, sepsis, hypoxia). Check renal function before and during therapy; use caution in liver disease and heart failure. Stop metformin temporarily before iodinated contrast/surgery as advised by doctor. Seek urgent care for symptoms of low sugar (sweating, tremor, confusion) or lactic acidosis (deep/rapid breathing, severe weakness, abdominal pain).
