How Metatop Nasal Spra works

MEtatop Nasal Spray is a steroid. It gets absorbed into the cells of the inner surface of the nose and works by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers that cause inflammation (swelling) and allergies. This relieves blocked or runny nose, sneezing and sinus discomfort, and other symptoms caused by nasal congestion and nasal polyps.

How to take Metatop Nasal Spra

Use this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Insert the bottle tip into one nostril and close the other nostril. Direct the spray towards the sides of your nostril, away from the cartilage dividing the two sides of your nose. As you spray, breath gently and keep the head upright. Repeat the same process for the other nostrils.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of MEtatop Nasal Spray, use it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Metatop Nasal Spra than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

How to store Metatop Nasal Spra

Do not use MEtatop Nasal Spray on deep skin wounds, blistered skin, severe burns, or large skin areas. Apply to the skin only. Avoid sensitive areas such as your eyes, mouth/nose, and the vaginal/groin area. After applying MEtatop Nasal Spray, remember to wash your hands (unless your hands are the treated area). If you are allergic to any ingredients in MEtatop Nasal Spray, do not use the product. If you are not sure, please consult a dermatologist.
