Prasugrel 10 mg + Aspirin (Acetylsalicylic Acid) 75 mg (CV capsule)
Prevention of blood clots (thrombotic events) after acute coronary syndrome (heart attack/unstable angina) and after coronary stent placement (PCI); helps reduce risk of heart attack and stroke in eligible patients.
Aspirin irreversibly inhibits COX-1 in platelets, reducing thromboxane A2 and platelet aggregation. Prasugrel is a P2Y12 (ADP) receptor inhibitor that prevents platelet activation and aggregation. Together they provide dual antiplatelet action to reduce clot formation.
Take by mouth exactly as prescribed by the cardiologist, usually once daily, with or without food. Swallow capsule whole with water; do not stop suddenly without medical advice. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as remembered unless it is close to the next dose.

Not recommended in patients with active bleeding, history of stroke/TIA, or severe liver disease unless specifically advised. Use caution in elderly (especially >75 years), low body weight (<60 kg), kidney impairment, peptic ulcer disease, and before surgery/dental procedures (may need temporary stoppage). Avoid taking additional aspirin/NSAIDs unless advised. Do not discontinue after stent without cardiologist advice due to risk of stent thrombosis.
