How Rosumac F 5 works

Rosumac F 5 Tablet is a combination of two lipid-lowering medicines: fenofibrate and rosuvastatin. Fenofibrate works by lowering the levels of triglycerides in your blood, while rosuvastatin prevents your body from making "bad" cholesterol (LDL). Both raise the levels of “good” cholesterol (HDL).

How to take Rosumac F 5

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Rosumac F 5 Tablet may be taken with or without food.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Rosumac F 5 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Rosumac F than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Most side effects of Rosumac F are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

Rosumac F 5 Tablet helps decrease the risk of heart diseases and helps prevent strokes and heart attacks. It should be taken in addition to regular exercise and a low-fat diet to lower levels of fat in the blood. Notify your doctor if you experience muscle symptoms (pain or weakness), particularly if accompanied by fever. Notify your doctor if you experience stomach pain, loss of hunger, a sick feeling, or dark urine. Do not discontinue Rosumac F 5 Tablet without consulting your doctor, even if you feel better.
