Telmisartan 20 mg
Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure); may be used to reduce risk of cardiovascular events (heart attack/stroke) in high-risk patients as advised by a doctor
Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). It blocks the AT1 receptor, causing relaxation of blood vessels and reducing aldosterone effects. This lowers blood pressure and decreases strain on the heart.
Take by mouth exactly as prescribed, usually once daily at the same time each day. Can be taken with or without food; swallow tablet with water. Do not stop suddenly without medical advice; monitor blood pressure regularly.
