Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). It blocks AT1 receptors, causing blood vessels to relax and widen, which lowers blood pressure and reduces strain on the heart.
How to take Oritel 20 mg Tablet
Take by mouth exactly as prescribed, usually once daily, with or without food. Swallow tablet with water at the same time each day; do not stop suddenly without medical advice.

Missed dose and overdose
If you miss a dose
Take the missed dose of Oritel as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.

Not recommended in pregnancy (especially 2nd/3rd trimester) due to risk of fetal harm. Use caution in kidney disease, liver impairment, dehydration/low salt state, and in patients prone to low BP.
