Tepid 650 Tablet contains Paracetamol (650mg). It belongs to the Non-opioid analgesic (para-aminophenol derivative) class of medicines.

How Tepid 650 Tablet works

Paracetamol works mainly by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis in the central nervous system, which reduces pain. It also acts on the hypothalamic heat-regulating center to lower fever.

How to take Tepid 650 Tablet

Tablet for oral use. Take as advised by the doctor; commonly taken with water, with or without food (preferably after food if stomach upset occurs). Maintain a gap of at least 4–6 hours between doses and do not exceed the total daily dose recommended on the label/by clinician.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Tepid 650mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

An overdose of this medicine can cause severe and sometimes fatal liver damage, often with no symptoms at all for the first day. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.

Most side effects of Tepid are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

Tepid 650mg Tablet can be taken with or without food, but taking it with food or milk may help reduce stomach discomfort. Avoid taking more than the recommended dose, as excessive use can increase the risk of liver damage. Check the labels of other “cold and flu” medicines, as many may also contain paracetamol. Taking them together can lead to an overdose. Avoid alcohol while taking Tepid 650mg Tablet, as it may increase the risk of liver damage. Inform your doctor if you have liver or kidney disease, as dose adjustment or monitoring may be required, especially with long-term use. Seek medical advice if you notice symptoms such as dark urine, yellowing of the skin or eyes, or unusual tiredness. These may indicate liver problems.
