Ursodeoxycholic Acid (Ursodiol) 300 mg tablet
Dissolution of cholesterol gallstones (in suitable patients), primary biliary cholangitis (PBC), cholestatic liver diseases with impaired bile flow (as prescribed)
Ursodeoxycholic acid is a hydrophilic bile acid that reduces cholesterol saturation in bile and decreases intestinal absorption of cholesterol, helping dissolve cholesterol gallstones. It also improves bile flow and protects liver cells from toxic bile acids in cholestatic liver diseases such as PBC.
Take by mouth as advised by your doctor. Usually taken with food to improve absorption and reduce stomach upset. Swallow the tablet whole with water; take at the same time each day and do not stop without medical advice.
Common side effects of URSOLIC 300MG TAB may include:
Use only under medical supervision. Not suitable for calcified/non-cholesterol gallstones, non-functioning gallbladder, acute gallbladder/bile duct inflammation, or bile duct obstruction.
