How Vilor-F 200 Capsule works

Vilor F 200mcg/25mcg Capsule is a combination of fluticasone furoate and vilanterol. Fluticasone furoate works by blocking the production of certain chemicals in the body which cause inflammation (redness and swelling) and allergies. Vilanterol works by relaxing air passages in the lungs, making breathing easier.

How to take Vilor-F 200 Capsule

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Vilor F 200mcg/25mcg Capsule, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Vilor-F than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

How to store Vilor-F 200 Capsule

Store Vilor-F below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the pack tightly closed and out of the reach of children. Do not use it after the expiry date printed on the pack.

Vilor F 200mcg/25mcg Capsule ‘dampens down’ inflammation in the lungs to provide long-term (maintenance) treatment of asthma and prevent disease progression. Vilor F 200mcg/25mcg Capsule will not work for an ongoing asthma attack. Use your rescue inhaler to control sudden difficulty in breathing. Learn the correct technique of using metered dose inhalers (MDI) and dry powder inhalers (DPI) to ensure that the right amount of medication reaches your lungs, and side effects are minimized. Gargle with warm water after each inhalation to avoid any fungal infections in your mouth and throat. Take it at the same time every day to prevent asthma attacks. Do not open and close the cover unnecessarily as you will lose the medicine. Never breathe out into the mouthpiece. Only minuscule amounts of Vilor F 200mcg/25mcg Capsule may get absorbed into the bloodstream after inhalation. Hence, serious side effects such as weight gain are unlikely.
