Same salt, different brand — what does that mean?

A substitute contains the same active ingredient (salt), in the same strength, as Xm Beta 25 mg Tablet. The medicine inside is the same — the brand name, manufacturer and price are what differ.

All medicines sold in India, branded or generic, must meet the quality standards set by the national drug regulator (CDSCO). A lower price does not mean lower quality.

Please confirm with your doctor or pharmacist before switching brands — they will check that the strength and form match your prescription.

Expert advice for Xm Beta 25 mg Tablet

XM Beta 25mg Tablet should be taken once a day regularly at the same time. Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent stroke and heart attack. It may also be used to reduce the number and severity of angina attacks (chest pain caused by heart disease). Lifestyle changes like a low-fat diet, exercise, and not smoking may help this medicine work better. It may cause dizziness. If this happens to you, get up slowly when rising from a sitting or lying position. It can hide symptoms of low blood sugar if you are diabetic. Monitor your blood sugar levels regularly. Do not stop taking XM Beta 25mg Tablet suddenly as it can cause your blood pressure to rise suddenly, thereby increasing the risk of heart attack and stroke.
