How Amlo Cb 5 mg Tablet works

Amlodipine is a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker. It relaxes and widens blood vessels by reducing calcium entry into vascular smooth muscle, lowering blood pressure and decreasing the heart’s workload, thereby relieving angina.

How to take Amlo Cb 5 mg Tablet

Tablet for oral use. Take as prescribed, usually once daily at the same time each day, with or without food. Swallow with water; do not stop suddenly without medical advice.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

Other antihypertensives (additive BP lowering), strong CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g. ketoconazole, itraconazole, ritonavir, clarithromycin) may increase levels, CYP3A4 inducers (e.g. rifampicin, phenytoin, carbamazepine) may reduce effect, simvastatin (limit dose as per clinician), grapefruit juice (may increase levels in some), tacrolimus/cyclosporine (monitor levels)

To reduce the swelling, raise your legs while you are sitting down. Talk to your doctor if it does not go away. It may cause dizziness. Do not drive or perform any activity that requires mental focus until you know how Amlo CB 5mg Tablet affects you. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding.
