Amlodac T Tablet contains Amlodipine (as Amlodipine Besylate) 5 mg + Atenolol 50 mg (per tablet). It belongs to the Calcium channel blocker + Beta-blocker (DHP CCB + selective beta-1 blocker) class of medicines.

How Amlodac T Tablet works

How to take Amlodac T Tablet

Take orally as prescribed by a doctor, usually once daily at the same time each day. Can be taken with or without food; swallow whole with water. Do not stop suddenly without medical advice.

Missed dose and overdose

Warnings and precautions

Do not stop beta-blocker abruptly (risk of rebound angina/MI). Monitor blood pressure and pulse regularly. Seek help for severe dizziness, fainting, wheezing, swelling of face/lips, or chest pain worsening.

Do not take Amlodac T if

Not for anyone with a known allergy to this medicine or to any ingredient in the pack. Not for people with very low blood pressure or with severe narrowing of the aortic valve. Not for people with a very slow heart rate, certain heart block disorders, or uncontrolled heart failure. Generally avoided in severe asthma.

Interactions with other medicines

Other antihypertensives (additive BP lowering), verapamil/diltiazem (bradycardia/heart block), digoxin (conduction effects), antiarrhythmics like amiodarone (bradycardia), NSAIDs (may reduce antihypertensive effect), clonidine (rebound hypertension if withdrawn improperly), CYP3A4 inhibitors/inducers affecting amlodipine (e.g., clarithromycin, azoles, rifampicin), alcohol (may increase dizziness)
