Atorva 10 Tablet contains Atorvastatin (10mg) + Ezetimibe (10mg). It belongs to the Statin (HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor) class of medicines.

How Atorva 10 Tablet works

How to take Atorva 10 Tablet

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Atorva E 10mg/10mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

An overdose of this medicine is unlikely to cause immediate harm but may increase the risk of muscle and liver injury. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.

Side effects of Atorva 10 Tablet

Most side effects of Atorva are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

• elevated liver enzymes

Warnings and precautions

Not recommended in pregnancy and breastfeeding. Inform doctor if you have liver disease, heavy alcohol use, hypothyroidism, kidney problems, or a history of muscle disorders. Seek medical help for unexplained muscle pain/tenderness/weakness, fever, or dark urine (risk of myopathy/rhabdomyolysis). Periodic liver function tests and lipid monitoring may be required.

Do not take Atorva if

Not for anyone with a known allergy to this medicine or to any ingredient in the pack. Must not be used in pregnancy or while breastfeeding. Not for people with active liver disease.

Interactions with other medicines

Macrolide antibiotics (clarithromycin, erythromycin), azole antifungals (itraconazole, ketoconazole), HIV/HCV protease inhibitors, cyclosporine, gemfibrozil/fibrates, niacin, colchicine, diltiazem/verapamil, amiodarone, warfarin (monitor INR), digoxin, grapefruit juice (increases levels)
