Bisoprolol fumarate 2.5 mg
Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure); management of chronic stable angina (chest pain).
Bisoprolol is a selective beta-1 adrenergic blocker. It lowers heart rate and reduces the force of heart contraction, thereby decreasing cardiac workload and blood pressure.
Take as directed by the physician, usually once daily at the same time each day. Can be taken with or without food; swallow tablet with water. Do not stop suddenly without medical advice.
Common side effects of Bizo 2.5 Tab may include:

A substitute contains the same active ingredient (salt), in the same strength, as Bizo 2.5 Tab. The medicine inside is the same — the brand name, manufacturer and price are what differ.
All medicines sold in India, branded or generic, must meet the quality standards set by the national drug regulator (CDSCO). A lower price does not mean lower quality.
Please confirm with your doctor or pharmacist before switching brands — they will check that the strength and form match your prescription.
Use with caution in asthma/COPD, diabetes (may mask hypoglycaemia symptoms), thyroid disorders, peripheral vascular disease, and in patients with low heart rate/AV block. Monitor blood pressure and pulse regularly. Do not discontinue abruptly (risk of rebound hypertension/angina). Use caution in heart failure unless prescribed and monitored by a doctor.
