Uses of Budecort 200 Rotacap

Maintenance treatment and prevention of symptoms in bronchial asthma; maintenance therapy in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) where inhaled corticosteroids are indicated.

How it works

Budesonide is an inhaled corticosteroid that reduces inflammation and swelling in the airways. This decreases airway hyperresponsiveness and mucus production, improving breathing and preventing exacerbations when used regularly.

Directions for use

For inhalation use only with a rotahaler/rotacap inhaler device; do not swallow the capsule. Use exactly as prescribed, usually at the same times each day. After inhalation, rinse mouth/gargle with water and spit to reduce risk of oral thrush; not meant for immediate relief of acute breathing attacks (use a reliever inhaler if prescribed).
