Empagliflozin 25 mg + Linagliptin 5 mg tablet
Type 2 diabetes mellitus: to improve glycaemic control in adults when diet and exercise alone are not sufficient; can be used with other antidiabetic medicines as advised by doctor.
Empagliflozin is an SGLT2 inhibitor that lowers blood sugar by increasing urinary glucose excretion through the kidneys. Linagliptin is a DPP-4 inhibitor that increases incretin levels, enhancing insulin release and reducing glucagon secretion in a glucose-dependent manner.
Take orally as prescribed, usually once daily at the same time each day, with or without food. Swallow whole with water; do not crush/chew. Monitor blood glucose regularly and follow diet/exercise advice.

A substitute contains the same active ingredient (salt), in the same strength, as Diablin E 5/25MG Tab. The medicine inside is the same — the brand name, manufacturer and price are what differ.
All medicines sold in India, branded or generic, must meet the quality standards set by the national drug regulator (CDSCO). A lower price does not mean lower quality.
Please confirm with your doctor or pharmacist before switching brands — they will check that the strength and form match your prescription.
Not for type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis. Risk of dehydration/low blood pressure especially in elderly, on diuretics, or with low fluid intake; maintain hydration. Empagliflozin may increase risk of genital infections and UTIs; seek care for fever, pain/burning urination. Monitor kidney function before and during treatment; use with caution/avoid in severe renal impairment as advised by doctor. Stop and seek medical help if symptoms of pancreatitis occur (severe abdominal pain) or severe allergic reactions. Withhold before major surgery or during acute illness/fasting as SGLT2 inhibitors can rarely cause euglycaemic ketoacidosis.
