Enoxaparin sodium 20 mg/0.2 mL (prefilled syringe/injection)
Prevention of blood clots (DVT/PE) after surgery or during immobilization, treatment of DVT/PE, prevention of clot-related complications in acute coronary syndromes (unstable angina, NSTEMI, STEMI) as prescribed
Enoxaparin is a low molecular weight heparin (LMWH) anticoagulant. It enhances antithrombin III activity, leading to strong inhibition of factor Xa and some inhibition of thrombin (factor IIa), thereby reducing formation and growth of blood clots.
For subcutaneous (under the skin) injection only unless specifically advised otherwise. Use exactly as prescribed; inject into the abdominal area, rotate injection sites, and do not rub the site after injection. Dose and duration depend on indication, body weight, kidney function, and bleeding risk.
Common side effects of ENOXAFLO 20MG/0.2ML INJ may include:
Risk of serious bleeding; seek urgent care for unusual bleeding, black stools, blood in urine, severe headache or weakness. Do not use in active major bleeding or history of heparin-induced thrombocytopenia (HIT) with thrombosis. Spinal/epidural anesthesia or lumbar puncture may cause spinal/epidural hematoma and paralysis—inform doctor before any such procedure. Use caution in kidney impairment, low body weight, uncontrolled hypertension, recent surgery/ulcers, and in elderly. Monitor platelets and signs of bleeding as advised.
