Glucon D Regular Powder contains Dextrose Monohydrate. It belongs to the Protein and amino-acid supplement class of medicines.
Dextrose supplies protein and amino acids, the building blocks your body uses to repair and maintain muscle and tissue.
Mix 1-2 tablespoons of Glucon D Regular Powder in a glass of water. Stir well and consume.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
Take it as soon as you remember. If your next dose is almost due, skip the one you missed — never take two doses together to catch up.
An overdose of this medicine may cause stomach upset and, with prolonged excess, puts avoidable load on the kidneys. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.
Most side effects of Glucon D Regular are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:
Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.
| Pregnancy | Consult your doctor before using this in pregnancy. |
|---|---|
| Breastfeeding | Consult your doctor before using this while breastfeeding. |
| Alcohol | No significant interaction with alcohol is expected. |
| Driving | Not expected to affect your ability to drive. |

| Habit forming | No |
Tell your doctor before taking a protein supplement if you have kidney disease — the protein load matters. Drink plenty of water while taking a protein supplement. Check the label for milk or soy if you have an allergy or are lactose intolerant.
Not for anyone with a known allergy to this medicine or to any ingredient in the pack. Not for people with inherited disorders of amino-acid metabolism, or with a known allergy to the protein source.
No significant medicine interactions are expected for most protein supplements.
Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight. Keep out of the reach of children.
Mix it as directed on the pack; a thicker mix is not a stronger one. Use it alongside meals, not instead of them, unless your dietitian has said otherwise.
