Hydrochlorothiazide (12.5mg) + Olmesartan (40mg)
Olmat 40 H Tablet is used in the treatment of high blood pressure.
Olmat 40 H Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Hydrochlorothiazide and olmesartan which lower blood pressure effectively. Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic that removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body. Over time it also relaxes blood vessels and improves blood flow. Olmesartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). It works by blocking the hormone angiotensin thereby relaxing blood vessels. This allows the blood to flow more smoothly and the heart to pump more efficiently.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Olmat 40 H Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

A substitute contains the same active ingredient (salt), in the same strength, as Olmat H 40 Tab 15S. The medicine inside is the same — the brand name, manufacturer and price are what differ.
All medicines sold in India, branded or generic, must meet the quality standards set by the national drug regulator (CDSCO). A lower price does not mean lower quality.
Please confirm with your doctor or pharmacist before switching brands — they will check that the strength and form match your prescription.
