How Rabiros-D works

Rabiros D Capsule SR is a combination of two medicines: Domperidone and Rabeprazole. Domperidone is a prokinetic which works on the upper digestive tract to increase the movement of the stomach and intestines, allowing the food to move more easily through the stomach. Rabeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) which works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach, which helps in the relief of acid-related indigestion and heartburn.

How to take Rabiros-D

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Rabiros D Capsule SR is to be taken on an empty stomach.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Rabiros D Capsule SR, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Rabiros-D than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Side effects of Rabiros-D

Most side effects of Rabiros-D are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

Long-term use can cause weak bones and a deficiency of minerals such as magnesium. Take adequate dietary intake of calcium and magnesium or their supplements as prescribed by your doctor. Use Rabiros D Capsule SR with caution if you are taking Methotrexate or certain Antiviral drugs. Always inform your doctor about these treatments so appropriate monitoring or adjustments can be made.
