Risofos 35mg/250mg/400IU Kit is used in the treatment of osteoporosis.
Risofos 35mg/250mg/400IU Kit is a combination of two medicines: Risedronate, Calcium and Vitamin D3 which treat osteoporosis. Risedronate is a bisphosphonate. It works by suppressing the activity of osteoclasts, cells that cause destruction of bone. This strengthens the bone and minimizes the risk of fractures. Calcium helps build and maintain bones, while Vitamin D3 helps your body effectively absorb Calcium. Vitamin D3 additionally supports the muscles needed to avoid falls.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label before use. Risofos 35mg/250mg/400IU Kit is to be taken empty stomach.<br/>Take it in the morning right after getting up from the bed. Do not drink or eat anything atleast for 30 minutes after taking this medicine.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
Take the missed dose of Risofos as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.
Taking more Risofos than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
Most side effects of Risofos are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:
Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Store Risofos below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the pack tightly closed and out of the reach of children. Do not use it after the expiry date printed on the pack.
