Salmodil-Ls 100 ml contains Levosalbutamol (1mg/5ml) + Ambroxol (30mg/5ml) + Guaifenesin (50mg/5ml). It belongs to the Beta-2 agonist + Mucolytic + Expectorant class of medicines.

How Salmodil-Ls 100 ml works

Levosalbutamol is a selective beta-2 agonist that relaxes airway muscles to relieve bronchospasm and wheezing. Ambroxol is a mucolytic that reduces mucus viscosity and improves clearance. Guaiphenesin is an expectorant that increases hydration of respiratory secretions to help expel phlegm.

How to take Salmodil-Ls 100 ml

Oral syrup. Shake well before use. Take the dose as prescribed by the doctor, usually after food; use a measuring cup/spoon. Do not exceed recommended dose; maintain adequate fluid intake to help mucus clearance.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Salmodil-LS Syrup Pineapple, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

An overdose of this medicine can cause a racing heart, marked tremor, headache and a fall in blood potassium. It can cause vomiting, severe drowsiness, a racing heart and, with codeine, dangerously slow breathing. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.
