Uses of Telbrit Am

Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure), especially when single-drug therapy is not adequately controlling BP; helps reduce risk of cardiovascular events associated with uncontrolled hypertension.

How it works

Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that relaxes blood vessels by blocking angiotensin II effects, lowering blood pressure. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that dilates peripheral arteries by reducing calcium entry into vascular smooth muscle, further decreasing blood pressure.

Directions for use

Take as directed by the physician, usually once daily at the same time each day. Can be taken with or without food; swallow tablet with water. Do not stop abruptly without medical advice.
