Telmichek Ct Tablet contains Telmisartan (40mg) + Chlorthalidone (6.5mg). It belongs to the Angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) + Thiazide-like diuretic class of medicines.

How Telmichek Ct Tablet works

How to take Telmichek Ct Tablet

Take by mouth as prescribed, usually once daily at the same time each day. Can be taken with or without food; take preferably in the morning to reduce nighttime urination. Do not stop abruptly without medical advice.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Telmichek CT 40mg/6.5mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

An overdose of this medicine can cause a severe fall in blood pressure, with dizziness, fainting and a fast or slow pulse. It can cause severe dehydration, a sharp fall in blood pressure and dangerous salt imbalances. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.

Other antihypertensives (additive hypotension), potassium supplements/potassium-sparing diuretics (hyperkalemia risk with telmisartan), NSAIDs (reduced effect and kidney risk), lithium (toxicity), ACE inhibitors/aliskiren (kidney/high potassium risk; avoid esp. in diabetes), corticosteroids or amphotericin B (electrolyte imbalance), digoxin (levels may increase), antidiabetic medicines (may need dose adjustment)

Store below 25°C in a dry place, protected from light and moisture. Keep in original blister pack and out of reach of children.
