Telzeal 20 mg Tablet contains Telmisartan (20mg). It belongs to the Angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) class of medicines.

How Telzeal 20 mg Tablet works

Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). It blocks AT1 receptors, causing relaxation of blood vessels and reduced aldosterone effects, which lowers blood pressure and decreases strain on the heart.

How to take Telzeal 20 mg Tablet

Tablet for oral use. Take exactly as prescribed, usually once daily at the same time each day; can be taken with or without food. Swallow with water; do not stop abruptly without medical advice.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Telzeal 20mg Tablet, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.

Interactions with other medicines

Potassium supplements/potassium-sparing diuretics (e.g., spironolactone, amiloride), other antihypertensives (additive hypotension), NSAIDs (reduced effect/renal risk), lithium (increased lithium levels/toxicity risk), ACE inhibitors or aliskiren (higher risk of kidney impairment/hyperkalemia; avoid in diabetes with aliskiren).

Store below 25°C in a dry place, protected from moisture and light. Keep in original blister pack and out of reach of children.
