How Trd P Tablet works

Trd P 37.5mg/325mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Tramadol and Paracetamol which relieve severe pain. Tramadol is an opioid analgesic (pain reliever) which works by blocking the transmission of pain signals to the brain to lower pain perception. Paracetamol works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain.

Warnings and precautions

Take it with or just after food, and for the shortest time that works. Stop and seek urgent care for black or tarry stools, vomiting blood, or severe stomach pain — this group can cause bleeding from the stomach. Long or high-dose use raises the risk of heart attack, stroke and kidney injury, particularly in older people and those already at risk. Avoid if you are dehydrated or have an illness with vomiting or loose motions — the kidneys are vulnerable then. Must be avoided in the last three months of pregnancy. This is an opioid painkiller. It can cause dependence, and should be taken only for the period your doctor has specified. Never combine it with alcohol, sleeping tablets or other sedatives — together they can dangerously slow your breathing. Do not stop a long course abruptly; your doctor will reduce it gradually. Not for people with severe liver disease, except under medical supervision.

Interactions with other medicines

Combining with a blood thinner or aspirin sharply raises the bleeding risk. Reduces the effect of blood pressure medicines and water tablets, and together with them can harm the kidneys. Never take two anti-inflammatory painkillers at the same time. Regular alcohol use increases the risk of liver injury. Tell your doctor if you are on warfarin — regular high-dose paracetamol can affect it.

Do not stop taking Trd P 37.5mg/325mg Tablet suddenly if you have been using it for more than a few days. Stopping it abruptly may lead to withdrawal symptoms such as anxiety, restlessness, sweating, insomnia, and gastrointestinal discomfort.
