A substitute contains the same active ingredient (salt), in the same strength, as Uprise D3 60K Cap. The medicine inside is the same — the brand name, manufacturer and price are what differ.
Vitamin D3 (60000IU)
Treatment and prevention of vitamin D deficiency, vitamin D insufficiency, osteomalacia and rickets (as adjunct), supportive therapy in osteoporosis/osteopenia, calcium malabsorption related to low vitamin D
Cholecalciferol is converted in the body to active vitamin D (calcitriol), which increases intestinal absorption of calcium and phosphate. It helps maintain normal blood calcium levels and supports bone mineralization and muscle function.
Oral capsule. Take as advised by the doctor; commonly 1 capsule once weekly for 6–8 weeks for deficiency, then maintenance as prescribed. Swallow whole with water, preferably after food or with milk; take on the same day each week if on weekly dosing.

All medicines sold in India, branded or generic, must meet the quality standards set by the national drug regulator (CDSCO). A lower price does not mean lower quality.
Please confirm with your doctor or pharmacist before switching brands — they will check that the strength and form match your prescription.
Do not exceed prescribed dose; long-term high doses can cause hypervitaminosis D and hypercalcaemia. Use with caution in kidney disease, kidney stones, hyperparathyroidism, sarcoidosis/granulomatous diseases, and in patients with high calcium levels. Monitor calcium, phosphate and vitamin D levels if taking prolonged therapy. Seek medical help if symptoms of hypercalcaemia occur (persistent nausea/vomiting, confusion, excessive thirst/urination).
