How Uprise D3 60K Syrup works

Cholecalciferol is converted in the liver and kidneys to active vitamin D (calcitriol). It increases intestinal absorption of calcium and phosphate and supports bone mineralization and muscle function.

How to take Uprise D3 60K Syrup

Oral syrup/solution. Take as prescribed by the doctor; commonly 5 ml (60,000 IU) once weekly for a defined duration, then maintenance as advised. Can be taken with or after food (preferably with a meal containing fat) for better absorption. Use a measuring cup/spoon.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

Most side effects of Uprise D3 60K are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

Warnings and precautions

Do not use in hypercalcaemia, hypervitaminosis D, or severe hypercalciuria. Use with caution in kidney disease, kidney stones, sarcoidosis or other granulomatous disorders, and in patients taking calcium supplements. Avoid exceeding prescribed dose; monitor calcium and vitamin D levels with prolonged use. Seek medical help for symptoms of high calcium (persistent nausea, vomiting, confusion, excessive thirst/urination).

Interactions with other medicines

Thiazide diuretics (risk of hypercalcaemia),digoxin and other cardiac glycosides (arrhythmia risk with high calcium),antiepileptics like phenytoin/phenobarbital (reduced vitamin D effect),glucocorticoids (reduced vitamin D effect),cholestyramine/orlistat (reduced absorption),aluminium-containing antacids in renal impairment (risk of aluminium toxicity),calcium supplements (additive hypercalcaemia)

Your doctor has prescribed Uprise-D3 60K Syrup Sugar Free for the treatment of vitamin D3 deficiency. Take it as per the dose and duration suggested by your doctor. It should be taken with food for faster absorption of medicine. To help manage vitamin D deficiency, get 10–40 minutes of sun exposure 3 times a week (20–30 minutes for light skin, 30–40 for dark skin) and eat a vitamin D-rich diet including egg yolk, mushrooms, dairy, fortified foods, and oily fish. When taken at night, it might affect your sleep pattern. To avoid this, it is better to take it in the daytime. Do not take antacids or any other medication 2 hours before or after taking Uprise-D3 60K Syrup Sugar Free. Inform your doctor if you notice nausea, vomiting, poor appetite, constipation, weakness, and weight loss while taking this medicine.
