Vagnoflora Capsule is used for restoration and maintenance of healthy vaginal flora; supportive care in bacterial vaginosis, recurrent vaginal infections, and to prevent/treat antibiotic-associated disturbance of vaginal microbiota (as directed by a physician).
Medically reviewed by Dr. Balaji Krishnan, MBBS · Updated August 2026
Vaginal probiotic capsules typically contain beneficial bacteria (commonly Lactobacillus species) that help recolonize the vagina and maintain an acidic pH. This inhibits overgrowth of harmful bacteria/yeast and supports normal vaginal discharge and odour control.
Capsule for oral use unless specifically prescribed otherwise. Take as directed by the physician, preferably after food with water; avoid taking simultaneously with antibiotics—keep a 2–3 hour gap. Duration commonly ranges from a few days to several weeks depending on indication.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
Take the missed dose of Vagnoflora as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.
Taking more Vagnoflora than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
Most side effects of Vagnoflora are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:
Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

| Alcohol | No known interaction |
| Habit forming | No |
Use with caution in immunocompromised patients, those with severe illness, central venous catheter, or history of probiotic-associated infections. Stop and seek medical advice if fever, worsening symptoms, allergic reactions, or severe abdominal symptoms occur. Not a substitute for prescribed antibiotics/antifungals when active infection is present. If pregnant/breastfeeding, consult a doctor before use.
Antibiotics (may reduce probiotic effectiveness), immunosuppressants (theoretical increased risk of infection), antifungals/antiseptic vaginal products (may alter local flora)
Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and moisture. Keep tightly closed and out of reach of children.
