How Wakfree works

Wakfree Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Glucosamine, Diacerein and Methyl Sulfonyl Methane, which treats osteoarthritis. Glucosamine and Diacerein are proteoglycan synthesis stimulators while Methyl Sulfonyl Methane (MSM) is a nutritional supplement. Together, they help in the building of cartilage (the soft tissue around the joints) leading to joint repair. MSM additionally lowers inflammation (swelling) of the joints.

How to take Wakfree

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Wakfree Tablet is to be taken with food.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Wakfree Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Wakfree than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Side effects of Wakfree

Most side effects of Wakfree are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

How to store Wakfree

Store Wakfree below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the pack tightly closed and out of the reach of children. Do not use it after the expiry date printed on the pack.

Wakfree Tablet helps in relieving symptoms of osteoarthritis. It may take several weeks to see treatment benefits. Keep taking the medicine as prescribed by your doctor. Any of the side effects other than those mentioned above if occur, do consult the treating physician.
