How Advastat Asp 20 Capsule works

Rosuvastatin is a lipid-lowering medication that blocks an enzyme required in the body to make cholesterol. It lowers the __bad__ cholesterol (ldl), triglycerides and raises the __good__ cholesterol (hdl). Aspirin is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (nsaid) with anti-platelet action. It prevents the platelets from sticking together and decreases the formation of harmful blood clots. This way Advastat ASP 20 Capsule prevents blockade of blood vessels and reduces risk of heart attack, angina, or stroke.

How to take Advastat Asp 20 Capsule

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Advastat ASP 20 Capsule is to be taken with food.

Missed dose and overdose

Do not take Advastat Asp if

Interactions with other medicines

Grapefruit juice raises the level of some statins — avoid it. Certain antibiotics, antifungals and fibrates increase the risk of muscle damage when combined.
