Atorvastatin (10mg)
Used to treat high cholesterol (hypercholesterolemia, mixed dyslipidemia) and to reduce risk of cardiovascular events (heart attack, stroke) in high-risk patients.
Atorvastatin is an HMG‑CoA reductase inhibitor (statin) that reduces cholesterol synthesis in the liver. It lowers LDL and triglycerides and modestly increases HDL, helping reduce atherosclerotic plaque formation and cardiovascular risk.
Take orally as directed by a doctor, usually once daily at the same time each day, with or without food. Continue diet and lifestyle measures; do not stop without medical advice.

A substitute contains the same active ingredient (salt), in the same strength, as Atheart 10MG Tab. The medicine inside is the same — the brand name, manufacturer and price are what differ.
All medicines sold in India, branded or generic, must meet the quality standards set by the national drug regulator (CDSCO). A lower price does not mean lower quality.
Please confirm with your doctor or pharmacist before switching brands — they will check that the strength and form match your prescription.
Prescription medicine. Avoid use in active liver disease or unexplained persistent elevation of liver enzymes. Seek medical help for unexplained muscle pain/tenderness/weakness, especially with fever or dark urine (risk of myopathy/rhabdomyolysis). Use caution in alcohol use, liver problems, hypothyroidism, kidney impairment, and in elderly. Periodic lipid profile and liver function monitoring may be advised.
