Azilura 40 Tablet is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). It relaxes the blood vessels by blocking the action of a chemical that usually makes blood vessels tighter. How to take Azilura 40 Tablet

Do not take Azilura if

Not for anyone with a known allergy to this medicine or to any ingredient in the pack. Must not be used in pregnancy — it can seriously harm the developing baby. Not for people with narrowing of both kidney arteries, or a history of swelling of the face and throat caused by this group of medicines.

Interactions with other medicines

Anti-inflammatory painkillers reduce the effect and can harm the kidneys when combined. Potassium supplements, potassium-sparing water tablets and salt substitutes can push potassium too high. Lithium levels rise when taken with these medicines.

Store below 30°C in the original pack, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.

Take it at the same time every day to help you remember to take it. It can make you feel dizzy for the first few days. Rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down for a long time. Your doctor may get regular tests done to monitor the level of urea, creatinine, and potassium in your blood. Avoid taking anti-inflammatory medicines such as ibuprofen along with this medicine without consulting your doctor. Do not take Azilura 40 Tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
